- Le Meridien Tahiti has a white sandy-bottom, lagoon-style swimming pool set in tropical gardens. Daily aqua-fitness classes are complimentary, as are table tennis, volleyball, snorkelling, and kayaking. The latter can be enjoyed in the lagoon. The hotel also has a floodlit tennis court; tennis partners can be coordinated through reception if necessary. Games and a small selection of books are also available at reception. Le Meridien Tahiti’s tour desk and front desk staff can offer tour assistance.Tahiti offers a wide range of water-based activities, including scuba-diving, whale- and dolphin-watching, windsurfing, and waterskiing. It most famous and dramatic surf beach, Papenoo, lies on the east coast some 30 km from Le Meridien Tahiti. Visitors can also mountain bike, trek, or horse ride in the hilly hinterland, and do sightseeing tours of the island. The more adventurous can try canyoning in the island’s unusual lava tubes in the Hitiaa region of the east coast. The 18-hole Atimaono Golf Course is a 20-minute drive.
