With 67 rooms, 32 suites, 4 penthouses and 3 villas Blue Waters is set in 17 tropical acres with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. Our emphasis will be on you and your wedding as we set a standard to do only one wedding per day and our wedding co-ordinator will be on hand to ensure you have a day to remember.
Your Appointment
On arrival at the hotel you will be presented with a welcome letter which will indicate a date and time for your first meeting with the wedding co-ordinator. During this meeting all details concerning your wedding ie; choice of location, colour of bouquet, type of cake, beauty salon appointments etc will be discussed and a time set for you to visit the legal office in St John’s to arrange your license, which will normally be on the same day as your meeting. Once this has been arranged you can sit back and relax whilst we make all the necessary arrangements.
The Ceremony
The Groom is expected to be at the wedding location approximately 15 minutes before the ceremony is due to start, along with all other guests. Meanwhile the bride is still being pampered and the photographer will be setting a memorable stage as he takes a few shots of her in the room and on her way to the wedding location.
The ceremony normally takes approximately 15 minutes (with photographs being taken throughout) and then photographs taken after the ceremony. Then it is time to sign the marriage certificate, champagne toast and cutting of the cake, again photographs are taken throughout, followed by the couple being photographed on the beach.
Reception
The hotel has various options available dependent on the size of the wedding party. Vyviens a la carte restaurant will cater for small parties of not more than 10 guests with larger parties catered for in Palm al fresco restaurant to the sounds of the hotels live music entertainment, followed by dancing under the starlit sky.
For larger wedding groups, a more informal reception can be arranged such as drinks and canapés poolside or a private barbecue on the beach or sundeck area.
Stay 10 nights or more at the hotel and your wedding is free of charge (not combinable with free night offers if travelling with a tour operator).

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR WEDDING CEREMONY AT BLUE WATERS
The ceremony will be conducted by a marriage officer and is legally recognized. Ceremonies can be performed after one full working day, subject to availability between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm, Monday through Friday, not on public holidays. A Catholic wedding must take place in a church. Marrying in a Commonwealth Country means however that the only record of the wedding outside of Antigua is the marriage certificated which is completed and given to the couple on their wedding day. If this is ever lost a copy would need to be obtained from the Registrar in Antigua.
